It's not 'CSE'. It's child rape, says Joanna Gray. Enough with the sterile acronyms that seem designed to conceal the horror. Enough of the "bewitchment of our intelligence by means of language" (Wittgenstein).

It's going to take more than a Supreme Court judgment to flush gender pseudoscience out of the NHS, says Caroline Ffiske. In every policy and definition the NHS has dropped biological sex in favour of subjective feelings.

Flame on

7 Beacons send message of hope and call for help in the tradition of our ancestors.

Fires of hope Re-kindled at Tara
by Tara supporter Wed 07 Nov 2007 01:27:08 AM CST
Tara's fire was re-lit and fires also lit on the 7 beacons.Which spread to solidarity fires across Ireland.
The Main Fire was lit on a gravel area that old campaigners said was regularly used and designated as a fire area for many years on Tara.. Other fires where lit in barrels raised off the ground by stones.Full respect was paid to the land by people who care for it,in consultation with elders.
The night was attended by many hundreds of people of all walks of life, from all over Ireland and all over the World who cared enough to come and share.
In fact we heard solidarity fires were lit in up to 20 Irish counties and Over 25 countries worldwide by people who feel an affinity with this ancient valley.

More info, music , poetry clips and video links soon on indymedia.

The previous negative and narrow minded comment about many people who have come to help Tara in an hour of need is a waste of energy. The focus of the Tara issues should not be on the possibility of some singed grass, but on the destruction and desecration of our ancestors and ther ancient knowledge, which is still not fully understood.
This communication technology we have acccess to should be used to Network and help TARA IN AN EFFECTIVE WAY ,such as what we can do to stop the destruction, how we can help and NOT IN PATHETIC CYBER SPACE ranting.

We should be aiming to focus on taking positive action and sharing what we can do to help the Tara campaign.

The music, bardery and poetry that emerged from Tara's halls over wednesday to sunday was phenomenal.Tales and stories shared.Inspiration and hope regained,The Highlights were a beutifull harp performance by Laiose Kelly and the piper from the Mordekkers, which had the whole space spinning with dancers.
Sounds from the nights available on the net soon.

As Paddy Moloney from the Chieftans said at the harpers event "the terrible atrocity of this awful roadway ,... is something to awaken us all"
